POWER POINT PRESENTATIONA Power Point presentation can be used in a number of ways and in a number of settings. This program is wonderful for keeping an audience focused on the primary aspects of your message and it serves as a great way to keep information interesting and engaging. You may find that learning how to create a PowerPoint presentation will benefit you if you work in certain fields.
I have used a PowerPoint presentation for work as well as school. I have had the opportunity to create the projects on my own as well as collaborative efforts. At first the very idea of creating a Power Point presentation was intimidating but once I got the hang of it I was addicted to the program.
Fortunately, my first project was a collaborative one through school. Online education courses often require you to work with other students in collaboration to create a project that you share. This was a little nerve-racking for me at first because I had never created a Power Point presentation before in my life. I had no idea where to even start.
The great thing about starting off in collaboration with this type of project was that we were able to use each other’s strengths and weaknesses. One of my online classmates was a real professional when it came to Microsoft PowerPoint presentations so he was able to point everyone else in the project in the right direction.
I saved hours and hours of floundering around the program just by listening to his sound advice. He broke down the Power Point presentation into small steps and we worked together on each level of the project and then collaborated as a team. I would have spent days working with a tutorial if I hadn’t had my fellow classmates working with me on the project.
Now that I have a grasp on PowerPoint presentations, I volunteer to make them for meetings at work. The great thing about these projects is that they can be updated in a matter of minutes. I can also work online with my boss while I create. She gives be great feedback on the process and I have a great time working with her in this capacity.
I also love using the final product for the meetings. I was never much for speaking in front of crowds but with a good Power Point presentation at my fingertips I am willing to get up in front of an audience without blinking an eye. The program is just perfect for helping shy people to break out of their shells.
