HONDA DEALERSHIP

I have been working at a used Honda auto dealership for the past six years now, and let me tell you that I am sick of it. I just cannot stand the pressure of working on commission at the Honda dealer. I guess it is better than my last job. In that one I was working in a crooked dealership, selling bad products for over inflated prices. I was, in essence, the classic used car salesman, ripping off people all the time just to make my commission. Sometimes I think about the things that I used to do, and I cannot sleep at night. Now, of course, I am a much better person, but still I am haunted by how I used to act in the past.

Of course, working at the Honda dealership does have some things in common with what I used to do. I still have to work on commission, which means that I have to do anything that I can to make the sale. My work, and therefore my very life, depend on it. The good side of it is that at the Honda dealership, I do not have to sell things that I do not believe in. Most of the cars are in good working order, especially the new ones. Even the oldest cars at the Honda dealership tend to be of a pretty high quality, and well worth the prices that we charge for them. It really makes such a big difference in my self-esteem to know that I am no longer ripping off people. I guess in that sense, work at the Honda dealers is pretty good, because I'm good at what I do and do not have to be dishonest. Still, I wish I had some job experience outside of sales. I would leave this Honda dealership almost immediately.

Still, let me say that Honda dealership tends to have a much better standard of business than almost any other car dealers there is out there. At it, you are a whole lot less likely to get ripped off, and that is a fact. The reason is simple. Honda cars are really well made cars. Still, I do not think that working at the Honda dealership is my life's calling, and would love to leave while I am still young. But until I find something else to do, I guess I'm stuck at the Honda dealership.
