HIGH SCHOOL CLASS REUNIONS

Do any of us really enjoy high school? I mean I definitely remember the place and the people, but I can't say that I'd ever want to go back there. And I wasn't even one of those kids who had a rough childhood. My high school days weren't affected by oodles of acne or getting wedgies from jocks. I was one of the many who were simply there. I had a few friends, and I turned in my assignments on time. That was basically it. It seemed like I was just existing and waiting for something wonderful to occur. Did you ever feel this way back in high school? I'm sure there has to be others out there who shared my mundane experience. This makes me not too keen on high school class reunions. What's your perspective on the concept?

Good old high school class reunions. I talk about them as if I've actually been to one, but I haven't. I received a notice for mine a couple years back and I was basically dumbfounded. I plain and simply could not fathom the fact that I was 28 years old. Dear god, had 10 whole years really passed by? This was practically absurd and somewhat depressing. Is this the common reaction to high school class reunions? The funny thing is that I had no desire to go. Okay, that's a slight fib. I was a bit curious about some of the girls I went to school with back then. You know the routine. Do they look good? Are they still in shape, and did they become successful business women or are they house wives? It's pretty standard to wonder these things. I certainly thought a few of them were attractive back then. Not that it really matters today, because I have a wife and kids. Hence the brush off of the high school class reunion.

It's pretty cool to see a lot of this stuff on the Internet. Yes, I am still talking about high school class reunions. Surely you've seen the websites. You can basically be put in touch with your entire graduating class, or school for that matter. All it takes is a small monthly membership fee and you're good to go. How badly do you want to see these folks from the high school days? I will say one thing about these new-age websites; they're much simpler than going to high school class reunions. At least now days we all have a choice.
