BLUES CLUES COSTUME

I know that the show is popular but I never realized how much my daughter loved the character until we passed Blues Clues costume in the mall. My toddler went ballistic over the adorable item but it was way too big for her to wear. I was almost tempted to buy the Blues Clues costume anyway just so she could play with it.

This got me inspired to go on a search for a Blues Clues costume that would fit my toddler. This was not as easy as it seems. You would think that there would be tons of this kind of kids dress up outfits for Halloween but there really were not. I went from store to store hoping to find one for her but I wound up empty-handed.

The Blues Clues television program is a favorite of my daughter’s and it is a favorite of mine as well. I love that she is learning problem-solving skills through the program. She stops to watch the characters dance and sing and at times I think that she is talking to the main character who directs his attention specifically to the audience.

The program also works on the child’s meta-cognitive skills. My daughter is actually thinking about thinking as she interacts with the television. I thought that the Blues Clues costume would be perfect for this season. It is also perfect for this age group. However, the sizes run so big for our little ones who love the programs.

I guess that my daughter would probably enjoy seeing another child in the Blues Clues costume rather than wearing it her self. I just thought that it would be great for her to dress as her favorite puppy character this year even if she had to stand in front of the mirror in order to truly appreciate it.

My husband mentioned that a Blues Clues costume is a boy’s outfit for the Halloween holiday. I had to explain to him that Blue is really a girl dog. He was a little confused than he mentioned that there was a pink dog on the program. Magenta is a girl puppy as well.

I did find a cheap Blues Clues costume but I wasn’t thrilled with the quality. I guess that my daughter is going to have to wait to wear the Blues Clues costume that we originally saw. I am getting it just because I know that she will still love the program when she is big enough to fit into the costume.
