You may be a successful entrepreneur already in your head, but you'll most likely need a financial institution or backer to get you going. That means you need a detailed business plan.

Market research is vital, before you launch your goods or services onto the market place. If you've invented something, the mark of a successful entrepreneur indeed, make sure you get it patented at the first opportunity. There have been tears before bedtime because someone came along and took your idea from under your nose. No matter how terrific your product is, it will need marketing. Work out a strategy for advertising in the press and other media. To be a successful entrepreneur requires dedication and a lot of hard work, but the rewards are worth it.
